Almost standing still
the reluctant ceiling fan
slowly churns the air

Spring is in the air
It popped off my bouncing bed
Spring went way up there
It barely missed grandson's head
He's seven years old
But he weighs two hundred pounds
He does what he's told
Til he wants to bounce some rounds
Who would tell him no
He's a gorilla size lad
Just go with the flow
You'll find it ain't all that bad
Just go with the flow
You won't miss the bed you had

gravy, love your haiku. Smile

Edgar, your poem is unusual and in that, excellent.

A message that unwanted is,
Will be deleted from the board,
But burned itself into my brain
A sad and harrowing refrain.

Nothing I can do.
Nothing I can do.
Nothing I can do.

I had a dream
of a strange cavern
where a beast
both wild and foul
lay in wait below,
just for me to show
my face, to consume me,
the mouse to the owl,
then the waking morn
rendered nightmares shorn,
lifted from my head
as gossamer fled
from whispers

How green was my Nile
When Egyptian queens
Sailed slowly by
How green all the while
Their Egyptian jeans
Then caught my eye
They were on a roll
That year as I recall
Pharoh won his Super Bowl
Sphinx's nose had yet to fall

Shocked Rolling Eyes

someone opened the millrace,
and all the waters of projected time
Came gushing forth.

Treading water...treading time
Reading words that seem to shine,
All that's there are prisms past
Juggled and strangled at proper pace.

Looking over my shoulder
Getting bolder
Catch up..run
Here comes the sun

Love it, Letty.

Red, I live near enough to Tomball to have a Tomball address, but, I don't really live exactly there.

Moths in the poetry -
Yes, I really did write
These strange lines,
Dogs with mange lines,
And it was a real fight
To bring them to light.
Sad to say,
No one wants them today.
More I write
Because one day they might.

In ancient times
Across the land
Savage enzymes
Grew out of hand
Creating Republican
Men and gals
With rubber brains
And heavy jowls
Stamping in fundamental
Stamping out fun
Stalling time incremental
At the point of a gun
Building chromium towers
Upon cesspool lakes
Burning freedom's flowers
If that's what it takes

I wandered, a dark full rain cloud,
Across a bombed and cratered land.
I remained high above the genocide smoke,
Keeping my body clean, prepared to soak
The ashes littering the blood stained sand,
That roses might bloom, tall, free and grand.

I am truly taken by all the effortless outpouring.

Sweeping, seeping in the shadows,
Fondly thinking trust and true,
Collecting, recollecting moments,
Trifles, tokens, ragged view.

Griffins breathing fire to temper
Steel that stole a cutting edge.
Water like a willow wisping
Far too deep to ever dredge.
