Stevie wrote some pretty good words for times like these.

Like a long lonely stream
I keep runnin' towardas a dream
Movin' on, movin' on
Like a branch on a tree
I keep reachin' to be free
Movin' on, movin' on.

'Cause there's a place in the sun
Where there's hope for ev'ryone
Where my poor restless heart's gotta run.
There's a place in the sun
And before my life is done
Got to find me a place in the sun.

Like an old dusty road
I get weary from the load.
Movin' on, movin' on
Like this tired troubled earth
I've been rollin' since my birth
Movin' on, movin' on

'Cause there's a place in the sun
Where there's hope for ev'ryone
Where my poor restless heart's gotta run.
There's a place in the sun
And before my life is done
Got to find me a place in the sun.

there were sails
and troughs of endless waves
dolphins tails
and clouds in windless staves

sails hung down
our hearts were listing to
clouds did frown
the sky went misting through

we were blown
like thistles in the storm
soon came home
one early brighthurst morn

And on this happy turkey day
we take a moment out of the fray
To gather, share, reflect and eat
and in taste buds our souls will meet.

The menu is a masterpiece
turkey, stuffing- freedom's feast.
Who gets the drumstick just because?
Why, the sweetest pilgrim there ever was!

We'll all eat pumpkin pie with cream
and relive our November dream
of flaky crust and gingered spices
forestalling winter's wind and ices.

So, as darkness gathers o'er the fields
we'll light the candles and bless our meal.
With grateful hearts we'll raise our glasses
as another shared Thanksgiving passes.

*Happy Thanksgiving all you Americans (and anyone else who believes in pilgrimages). I'm having mine on Sunday (today's a workday here). Can't wait...

No reason to believe in it,
Just go with the tradition,
And a feeling of guilt will sit,
If you break this odd condition,

Almost half of the USA,
With this strange conviction,
And no point of logic can sway,
Their beliefs in this affliction,

No longer a religion,
But rather whats to come,
To all us nonbelievers,
If we do not succumb,

To their belief,
And nothing else,
Because all else is wrong,

Like a thief,
Coming near your thoughts,
To warp them, to their song,

I walk the rails
Thunder does the ground
Time as if a snail
Ears are painful as I hear the sound
Reflect on life as i am impaled
cold and dark no one around
Made a mistake? chasing a unreachable female?

eating lots of food
shifting in your chair
waist band getting tight
your stomach bulging there
football all day long
sleepy faces in the room
leftovers on the table
for every one to take home

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving Smile

I had a great one. Then spent today goofing, but also put up most of the Christmas lights. We don't have children around, but we still decorate.

Glad you had a nice one edgar Smile

I haven't begun decorating yet...I'm moving in slow motion to do it. The granddaughter insists that we do it tomorrow

Only the first half of this is spontaneous.

"My Gift For You Will Be"
written with Tony Bennet's voice in my ear

My gift to you will be
More than a prize
Underneath a Christmas tree

Wise and wonderful bride
A star will take us
For a magical ride

Soon you will see
The world below us will be
A jewel in the mist

O'er it we pause
Shocking Santa Claus
With a long lover's kiss

My love for you will be
More than a prize
More than a prize

I'm popping in for a little spontaneity...and more experimenting with rhyme and meter.

Blue Light

I can hardly see your face,
From the light of your eyes.

I've severed all ties,
I'm done with the lies,
Just you and I now,
Just me and your grace.

I can hardly see your face,
From the light of your eyes.

Be here in this place,
Don't leave any trace,
To stay I will vow,
Through my red heart's cries.

I can hardly see your face,
From the light of your eyes;
We're speeding fast through time and space,
This bleeding of Time is only reprise.

Hello to all Smile

the tinsel's hung outside the house
with lights so very clear
expressing the special meaning
that Christmas time is near

but the tree is still in storage
its cardboard box has seen its day
and all the ornaments have been waiting
for their time to be displayed

with the sufficient energy
I hope to finish soon
so I can see the sparkling decorations
when I walk into the room

Spiritual knowledge,
That we can find,
Is not yet lost,
In the depths of time,

The abyss of our soul,
In which we dwell,
Will open up,
In 2012,

Teh emo
Their he stands rubbing his palms with crossed arms.
Not knowing how long his life will last, from his ever so trouble-some past.
Living a horrific lie while gettin as high as the cloud's in the sky.
Coming down to the surface, would indefinatley hit turbulance, and leave him coughin blood in the back of n ambulance.
In a chomotose from a drug overdose death is close but suicide he chose.
