i trained the rain that's falling down
not to fall up or be brown
falling for years
it appears
will always pelt and pound
nice Mikey- in the same spirit:
I've been through this
I know this place
You've brought me here before
The empty chair
The silent air
The beating of my heart...

Thank you colorbook!! I think it could do with work, but the thoughts are mine!
Remembering 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford
as children play
watched by an evil eye
they are swept away
without goodbyes
kept under our wing
innocent and naïve
strangers talk
and they believe
sweet and pure
a child's test
teach them well
and do your best
a rose in youth
picked all to soon
finds heaven's garden
a place to bloom
Sad story, colorbook. It's a real shame it happens to be true.
Upon this morn of brilliant sun
Flowers beg for rain and say,
"Tis April and is dry by far
For us to grow in May"
i breathe in early springtime
inhaling the gentle froth
of beetime activities
pearl on the vine
animals warm smiling
children ride skateboards
impatient to swim the frigid lake
blossoms in fields seeking butterflies
A POX ON YER STOMPS AND JERKS!
The pains, they come hard and sharp
Then, it is then life can taste SO BAD, you know?
Already, skin is compromised by years, flimsey
And the BUGGER just comes by, steps on my toe!
Oh, I don't search for compassion on the sour face
Nor do I think I will be asked as to excusin'
His mind and time are on his own squeaks and dents
An jus' gen'rally causing confusion.
I have been reading your latest offerings edgar, and color book. Very upbeat and smile-worthy. Thanks for these, helps when ones toe is smarting.
Condolences to your toe, theol.
I consider my newer poems sub-par, but the excuse is, I am concentrated on other forms of writing.
this is not me
this is dairy lea
talking
as i'm walking
god i need a pee
cows go moo

sheep go baa
blah blah blah
pigs go oink
what the hell rhymes with oink
Hi, basket case. Good first effort. Don't y'all be no stranger, hear?

Good to see you again Lou, please come back more often
bears are just people
like anybody else
they don't build steeples
or stuff food on a shelf
bears poop in the rough
slap fish from the brook
but their hearts ain't tough
they ain't guilty for what they took
monthly payments are quite trying
when the list is longer than your arm
just stop yourself from buying
set the timer and alarm
keep a list in columns
check them off as they apply
write a check for receipts owing
and tell your cash goodbye
april 15th
creeping like a lynx
one day without preamble
it comes in to ramble
like on serenghetti plain
with claw and fang
only a signature
returns to nature
the raging beast
Perfect edgarblythe-- you got it perfect for April 15.
Thanx for missing me colorbook. I really like to 'read' you...
nifty poetry and nice too...
Planting Laropi
Thrusting the wheelbarrow through the trail
Stepping right on a chameleon's tail
I bring my grass to the perfect spot
Then sprig them apart - ah Sun so hot!
While only April, feels like May-
As a matter of fact , like May's LAST day...
Now I'm just not done, but have to rest
Doncha know - my row is gonna be the BEST!
