on an everclear jet
tookie bird o'er the plains
romance an egret
i saw a smokin' toe
and a river slowly flow
before the marshmallow pink
set the plane on the blink
dive dive dive dive
you know slowly jive
if perhaps by chance

time to do our dance
bend and take a bow
look across the way
set them in your sights

strangers in the woods

bounce around

crunchy light they do

fill bags' your call
a mountain tall
find a million more
steel spire, anguished sky
windblown streets, spikes for trees
white powder lawns, shuttered windows
long silver nights, blue-gray days
all awaiting the butterflies' dance
memories seem to light the way
brightened as special day
youth had played a simple part
and life was just work of art
friends were many all around
some were lost
but more were found
reflecting thoughts so far behind
smiling views within your mind
smiling trails
along the way
friendly face
