VANGELIS , is the only musician , other than Eric Satie, that makes me ill.

This Vangelis composition was used in the movie "The Year of Living Dangerously." It was later used in the Old Style beer commercials, where you may remember it, farmerman.

Oh my. Aren't you all just fabulous?

It's going to take me a while to catch up because I am so enjoying listening along. I hadn't even thought about scores for films but that certainly fits the bill (and extends it a thousand-fold).

Listening to the Elton John reminded me of another of my favorite songwriters and a movie that he wrote all the songs for: Harry Nilsson and "The Point". This is one of my all time favorite songs; I used to sing it to Mo as a lullabye:

Right now it is time to get Mo off to bed thought he no longer requires a lullaby. I'll catch up tomorrow......

@farmerman,
Ry Cooder did the "Paris, Texas" soundtrack, too.

Did you also like the movie, Phoenix? My daughter met Linda Blair about 3 years ago when she was a guest star on the television show my daughter was working for. My daughter told me that Linda Blair is a very sweet person.

@wandeljw,
even though she can spin her head around and talk to you as you stand directly behind her.

@dadpad,
He no longer uses "Islam" in his name and is now simply Yusuf.
