I've been cleaning out a LOT of papers dating back years and years. I found this little unfinished story of mine from high school, and thought I'd post it with the hope of getting additions, just for fun. Anyway, for better or worse, here it is:
While Salome wept, Mrs. Fish walked her dogs.
He sat on the edge of his suitcase by the bus stop, stoically braving the freezing rain, shivering only slightly beneath his thin overcoat. Up the street, two women leaned into the window of a silver Mercedes and talked. To the driver's side, and elderly lady walked her dogs, specks on the urban horizon slowly getting larger. Three boys shouted curses on thier way to the video store. The children of privilege were seldom grateful.
He prepared to leave their world for another, where he could make his home. She never understood his needs, and perhaps he never understood hers.
While Salome wept, Mrs. Fish walked her dogs.
Editor's note: I think this is complete drivel, which is probably why I never finished it, but I thought it might be a larf to expand on it.
No, un un! Elderly ladies always walk their dogs in a freezing rain.
Well hello cavfancier and roger.
I was reading around to see if I wanted to spread any nuggets of wisdom and maturity. Then I spotted this topic.
Finish it. It does not say anything yet, cavfancier. I think I would like where you started, but did not go anywhere yet.
