It's probably the last nice couple of days up here, so I'm gonna take advantage of the lovely weather. We are we into fall, the leaves have turned, the sunlight is that perfect autumn hue and the geese are gathering for the long trek south. I'm hitting the links.
How do you celebrate the changing of the seasons?
Ceili
Cheese curds and apples mean fall to me.
So I go out, buy a basket of my favourite apples, get some un-dyed curds, put the dogs in the car, and take them somewhere for an autumn walk.
Autumn is also when I change my hair colour.
so it's pale cheese and coloured locks.
What colour, do tell...
Ceili
errrrrrrrrr - sort of mid-apricot for the base this year, with what looks like a band of bright red for the bottom 2", and for about an inch at the front edge.
it's, to be polite, fairly vivid.
Ceili - you must be close to perfect!!! you golf also! so cool!
Eh! I like it. Sounds lovely.
Husker - I never said I was any good. I like to golf but nobody would ever take any pointers from me, trust me.
K, got to go, talk at y'all later.
Ceili
"Hitting the links" seems real good.
I hit 'em 6 days a week these days.
Love the game.
Glad to meet another enthusiast.
The weather here is showery. I have a short list of Indian Summer chores for myself--and a longer list for Mr. Noddy.
Yesterday I stopped at the farm stand and bought a jug of local apple cider.
Though Ceili would be out packing through the Canadian Rockies by now.
Roger - are you advertising a dutch dance school?
Nyet Yvette... Tanstaafl! See Moon is a Harsh Mistress (et al.)
I'm coming close to the end of harvesting my garden and when I'm done I'm going to just relax and catch up on some of my crafts.
Roger, been there - done that. I love the rockies no matter what time of year. I unfortunatly live a couple hours away, but ski season is comming - yeehaw. This year I may even try snowboarding, that is, if my butt can take it.
Golf-an ineffectual attempt to direct an uncontrollable sphere into an inaccessable hole with instruments ill adapted to the purpose.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. My father has been a golfer for 45 years. He was still playing off a single figure handicap at the age of 60.
No worries Wilson, I love it and I hate it - for the above reasons. Regarless, I'm a sucker for punishment.
