Somebody asked me this riddle. I cannot solce it. Does anybody here know the answer?
abcdefg..........pqrstuvwxyz
Hint: Watch out in the desert
hmmm...
How about:
"lack of h to o"?
"void of h2o"?
"everything except h to o"?
"forgotten h2o"?
Whatever... it means there's no water
follow up
thanks, getting closer. but not there yet (the answer needs 10 letters).
another hint:
It's elementary to finish this
5, B, 13, Al, 31, Ga, 49, In, ..., ...
abcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz.
Season's greetings.
?
sorry, i don't get your point... did you forget the 'l' on purpose?
the periodic table for the elements can finish the string:
81, Tl (thallium)
but that does not solve the initial riddle
(Seasons Greetings = Noel)
Does anybody understand the chemistry of the second clue?
I looked it up and Oxygen is 8, Hydrogen is 1, so maybe the clue is "81 -> 8 & 1"...?
@red baron,
The answer is dehydration - what is missing from the clue is H to O - H2O and if H2O is missing from anything it becomes dehydrated. The clue was in a Telegraph crossword and it took me ages.
