What do you mean by "blink"?

An input cell where the cursor blinks or do you want the cell to flash (I don't think you can write a conditional rule for this).

Would it be possible to embed an animated bitmap over the cell? It would hide any cell content though so maybe not an option.

You can write a macro to do this.

A macro is maybe the solution. But how i'am going to do that.

With a blink i mean "on / off".
