Who can tell me how can i let a single cell blink in a different color in a excel sheet?
Ok, now I understand your other question better.
You will need to write a macro for this.
Would it be possible to embed an animated bitmap over the cell? It would hide any cell content though so maybe not an option.
Dunno, animated bitmaps don't exist but an animated gif might work. i have never used images in Excel but /i bet it's possible to use an animated gif as a background.
What would you use to create one? I know nothing about graphics. This must be how you (and others)manage to have animated avatars then, Craven?
Just had a little experiment in Excel. Seems like a bitmap inserted is opaque over any cell content underneath. I couldn't see how to put it to the background. Maybe gif's are different or I've missed an option somewhere.
Hmm, I don't immediately see a way to use image backgrounds. There must be a way. I do know that to make the cell flash there are Excel macros that would do it.
