It's not so much a question of whether or not Foofie is a light weight--Spurious is a light weight, he knows nothing about science; the member "real life" was a light weight, he knew nothing about science; Bad Dog was a light weight, he--incredibly--knew even less about science than Spurious and "real life." The problem i have with Foofie is that he shits all over the appropriate synthesis and interpretation of history, which is the area in which i possess the expertise to literally wince at the **** he posts. He knows just enough to cloak his pathetic ignorance and intellectual ineptitude in an aura of authority in the eyes of someone who knows less about history than he does.

I never counter your post; I just add my comments, possibly based on some other focus than what the regular posters had. So, it appears to me, you do not like having me on a thread that you may deem yourself the definitive voice, in my New York opinion. So, I get ad-hominems, with others joining in on the fun of an adversarial interaction with me. Here in the big city it is called "ganging up" by bullies oftentimes. I did not know that A2K is a turf that one has to be part of the club to not get ad-hominems from "da boys".

I thought thinking one was "very smart" was a stereotypical Jewish trait? Live and learn. By the way, relating to Creationism, I do believe many of those that believe in Creationism practice their faith in more charming ways, such as humility and gratitude (like saying Grace). Secular people and less religious people just have their social class (that they were born into) or not!

I don't dismiss what you write by attacking you personally, i dismiss what you write by pointing in detail that you are wrong, and why you are wrong. The personal remarks i make about your idiocy thereafter are simply the entertainment which goes with the effort.

Nobody here "gangs up" on you. When i point out that you don't know a goddamned thing about history, and when i point out where you are wrong, no one else comes along to jump on you. You are indulging self-pity and paranoia now, and that does not surprise me.

Since I never question the veracity of your many historical facts, what motivates you to be the editor of my posts? Who annointed you keeper of the threads? Most posts are my opinions, and are colored by my set of experiences, and my living in a culture that has taught me a different set of beliefs, than perhaps your culture has. You can choose not to set me straight, so to speak, other than pointing out that you believe I am wrong. But, you take my wrongness personally, it appears to me.

So, you should not take my posts, responding to your posts, as a personal affront, since I do consider you an archetype of a specific New York demographic of a bygone era (the 21st century version perhaps). There are likely any numbers of Setanta Post Alikes in cyberspace, with your education, your beliefs, and your sensitivities. You do know that Patrick Moynihan was a sociology professor at City College, before he entered the public arena. He wrote a textbook about NYC ethnic groups. That is why I have these thoughts relating to archetypes.

However, there are likely very few archetypal Foofies.

I am guessing that since you do not care for my presence, I am the recipient of some non-complimentary thoughts from you. I too do not care for your presence; however, I do not act out, so to speak, nor do I feel it is ethical to try to get you to leave by sending non-complimentary thoughts in your direction.
