Got a problem.
When I sign in and click on the "View Posts Since Last Visit" category -- I keep getting a message that there are no topics that meet my criteria. Happened when I signed on this morning -- and there were supposedly over 500 postings.
I've never established any criteria -- and even if I did without realizing it, I have previously been seeing lots of postings when I entered that category -- which is the first category I click on when I sign on.
This has been going on for a couple of days now.
I resolve it by going to my "Watched Topics" -- and manage to catch up on all threads where I am a participant. But I am obviously missing out on all new threads that are being initiated.
Whass up???
You only get that on the second page of the search. right?
Nope.
It opens with that.
I've been getting it with the second page right along.
This opening with the problem is new to the last few days.
Odd, it works for me. Try logging in with cookies.
It just worked for me now.
I don't know what "toggle in with cookies" means.
If it happens again, I'll let you know -- but like I said, I just came on and it did work.
If you're auto logging in you're using cookies -- if you have to sign in every time then you aren't.
Here's something that should help if the problems come back... Try the
At a Glance page. It shows all the latest posts in order -- not only the posts since your last visit.
The reason I mentioned cookies is because the new posts search can display zero if you reset your session somehow. With cookies this is less likely.
You also might have had that page in your cache (unlikely).
Everything worked fine when I signed in today.
I do auto log in.
I'm keepin' my fingers crossed.
Thanks for the advice Craven and Monger.
