If Alfred had his cakes; Bruce had his spider; and Canute had his waves; then logically who comes next and why? Charles with his Nell; Henry with his wives; John with his barons; or Keats with his poetry.
Since the names and objects are both in alphabetical order, I would go with Henry and wives.

@sophocles,
I'll go with Charles and his Nell. Keats wasn't a king so he's out. I don't think Henry learned anything from his wives, nor John from his barons. So I'll say these are all kings with the things that somehow influenced them to be better kings.

@sophocles,
And this is a GFQ question. The question setter has repeatedly asked that neither his questions are asked nor answered on sites like these. Please don't spoil the quiz.

@sophocles,
I'd go for Keats - Poetry on the basis of the numbers of letters series
6 - 5, 5 - 6, 6 - 5, 5 - 6.
