Farmer Riddle

There's a farmer and he has 1.a chicken 2.a fox and 3. a bag of oats. He needs to bring each of them over the lake to the farm but he can only bring one at a time because his boat is so small, and if he leaves the fox with the chicken-chicken get's eaten -leaves chicken with oats - oats get eaten. So What's The Simplest Way To Get Them ALL ACROSS THE LAKE SAFELY WITHOUT BEING EATEN ???????????????????????????????????
