@jespah,
Foxy and Jes.....thank you! Love you guys!
The surgery went exceptionally well. By 3:30 he was moaning because he was hungry! He'll be coming home tomorrow.
Tests were done today to determine damage and long term care. The heart is healed enough to give them a true picture of scar tissue. Well, I am not really even knowing what to say. I'm not sure that I have even absorbed it, yet. The tests came back far better than anyone expected. The scar tissue is so minimal on his heart, that it is what you would expect of someone that had a heart attack and didn't even know they had one. That LIGHT of a heart attack. According to the specialist at the Cleveland Clinic, Daddy should not even be here due to the severity of it according to the amount of enzymes (I believe that is what he called it) that were in his blood, among other things, the day of the attack. He should have died that day. But he didn't. He also said that in all his years in his field, he has never seen a heart with so little scar tissue after a massive attack. His prognosis is better than good. He is still healing, but a near full recovery is expected. The defib will likely have him feeling better than he did before the attack, even.
I'm just sitting here, sort of in a dazy shock and all I can say is "Thank you, God!" And thank you my A2K friends for making the power of our prayers much more powerful. I am really pretty floored right now.
Love you and thank you, AGAIN! Though thank you seems like such a small thing to say, when I want to say so much more. But have no words at the moment. Been lots of tears today.
