After all these years, and after stumbling on this site or an answer to an question.
you all are genius's. so you would be the perfect people to ask about which Atlas I should buy. I want one that's going to show obscure rivers etc, but still be good enough for kids to use for school. I had this huge old readers digest world atlas that I used when I lived in Canberra but had to leave it behind when I moved as it wasn't mine.
Also what Dictionaries/Thesaurus do you all use. I myself use Collins
@Vegemite,
Why not use the internet? I don't think any atlas is as good as the wealth of information on the internet. And as for dictionaries, the OED is the only one superior to what's readily available on the net IMO.
@Vegemite,
I use this site for Dictionaries:
http://www.onelook.com/ and this one as Thesaurus:
http://thesaurus.reference.com/
For an atlas I also use the Internet depends which Country I want to refer to.
Another site that you can use to solve Lovatts puzzles is this one:
http://www.oneacross.com/
A word of warning, it is not always correct but often comes up with the right answers.
@Dutchy,
thanks for your responses, I use
www.oneacross.com as well
I prefer to use an Atlas to look things up first before using the internet, which I use as a last resort!
