I'm looking at majoring in computer software engineering, with a minor in CADD, or something else related. What colleges would be a good choice? Would anyone recomend BYU-I, OSU, or ISU?
@Goamey,
By OSU and ISU I'm refering to Oregon State and Idaho state.
I can't speak to those colleges, but I can say that these are good fields to study.
Computer Science/Software Engineering is very stable right now, and is a path that has many future opportunities. The only thing to be aware of is that the market can be a little inflated so finding the job you want may be a little competitive.
CAD is okay, but you should look into other drafting software that is industry grade.
UGS N.X. 5.0 (or higher)
ProE
Solidworks
CATIA
Sorry I can't speak about those colleges. If you want to gauge a college, I think a good meter is to look at what kind of research they do. That shouldn't be to hard to find out.

@Diest TKO,
Thanks. Yeah I've done some work with Solidworks and CADD. I guess I was just trying to say drafting as a whole. I find it keeps my attention very well, any I got pretty good at it relatively quickly.
Ok, so I had another thought. I might try to dual major in mechanical engineering, and then something like cadd or computer software engineering. Does anyone see anything wrong with that? Any other helpful advice?
