Optical illusion

I always wondered how is it that when I look in fast moving cars (usually when I drive too) that their wheels seem to rotate in opposite direction of what they are supposed to move and how is it related to speed of rotation and what speed is that (and maybe if its related to size of a wheel, how is it related).
