That's my vote:
ants & whales cast shadows;
a shadow comes and goes as clouds move in front of/away from the sun;
not sure about a *shadow* being "hit" (flash/spotlight?);
some animals (and people) fear their own shadows;
shadows dance (especially trees in moonlight) and - of course - can't hear;
it's called a "shadow" but yours is called "dlowan's" and mine is "-t's" etc...
a shadow grows with the movement of the sun's position - slow as a snail;
AND you just can't run from it!
