@vinsan,
Some people are saying that there might be enough information in a chicken to recreate raptor type dinosaurs.

@vinsan,
Thanks for the info. Apparently they have been able to produce minor changes in embryos, but nothing in a living specimen.

I think they're on an interesting track, but they've got a long way to go before producing a living adult chicken with a tail or teeth. In 50 years, maybe. I hope I live to see it.

@Robert Gentel,

Science can do many wonderful things, but this sounds potentially dangerous. Why would we want to go down this road and do this?

@Reyn,
Because it would be so cool. Imagine walking among the dinosaurs.

@Linkat,
Negatory, my dear Ms. Link.

While I'm happy to hear of recent news of funding being re-instated for stem cell research, I'm not sure this cloning type stuff is all a great thing, and certainly not of extinct creatures like dinosaurs. It creeps me out, to tell you the truth.

@Reyn,
We could put them on an island and build a theme park around them.

@edgarblythe,
Well, that would make me feel a lot better than the thought of them running around causing havoc. Laughing

@darkstardust,
I'm sorry dark star, does the universe you live in revolve around you?

@littlek,
I'll speak for myself - the world does revolve around me (at least in my own world).
