The World Series is 100 Years old this month. The 100th anniversary began as a challenge between the rival National League and the American League. The first World Series was played in Pittsburg, PA in 1903 between the Pittsburg Pirates and the Boston Pilgrims. The Pilgrims won the first World Series.
