Every once in a while I am left with "X close alt+f4" on my computer.
I can not get rid of it without restarting my computer. What did I do wrong to cause this problem?
It happened twice today. Thanks!

@Victor Murphy,
Alt F4 is an alternate method for closing the window. Does the same as clicking the x. What program were you running prior to the message? Was it the same program used each time this happened?

@Intrepid,
It hapened again once yesterday. I made a short video using my webcam. When I turned it off, X close altf4 stayed on my screen.

@Victor Murphy,
Sometimes when your computer is running low on RAM that can happen with XP. That's one of the things I liked the most about Vista, it's graphics engine doesn't let that kind of thing happen.

Then, what Robert wrote makes the most sense for this.
