Devriesj, is that the clock ticking?
Is that not funny? hee hee Do you want me to go? <sob>
Cinnesthesia, is it possible that all the people on these threads are writing books? Have you seen the cartoon which shows 2 chaps at a cocktail party meeting, one saying "I'm writing a book, actually" and the other replying "Neither am I"!? Am I getting on with the money-spinning grammar practice books I am contracted to write or am I spending time thiinking of word games, new questions, and sending Reiki to Dev's dad?
I'm guessing the latter; am I right? Well, I suppose that it's more amusing to spend one's time here rather than trawling through lists of intransitive verbs, true? Are they still being autocratic, Clary? I'm amazed by the sheer number of people writing books; is it not great? I am actually writing my ones, unlike the cartoon, but I guess that I'll have much more time to be on here after June, don't you know? Incidentally, what's your book about, Cinnesthesia? How long have you been writing it? I guess that it's different for me, as isn't it true that carparks are the worst enemy to any given person's imagination?
As for music; I love Motown, and I guess that I'm being a sellout for liking the Beatles, but I like hundreds of bands and singers from that time, don't you?
Aren't the Supremes my all time fave? Don't they take me back to painting my flat in Bristol when I was a newly-minted, unemployed and unemployable graduate?
Did not the 80's produce Morris Day and The Time? Are they not the greatest band on the face of the planet? Could I be watching too many Kevin Smith movies?
Isn't Bob Dylan just fantastic? Do you know he's in Cardiff in June? Do you think I would miss the chance of seeing him live?
O, my heavens; that means both of us are going? I think that Bob Dylan must be one of the greatest songwriters ever, wouldn't you agree?
Out of the eighties I liked the Bob Geldof and the Boomtown rats; anyone else? I liked a few other bands, but I was never a New Romantic, was I?
Don't I think Dylan is pretentious and facile? Didn't I see him in the 80s live? Wasn't he behaving like a spoilt brat? Am I too old to appreciate him?
How was he behaving like a brat? Well, one can't say that he's not done some exceptionally weird things in his life-- like the bra commercial-- but I feel that he has written plenty of brilliant songs, 'though I think that ;people should know when to stop, don't you?
Do you know he's written about 350 songs? Compared to the kiddie music in the charts today don't you think he's a saint? I don't think he will ever stop, do you?
Isn't this my favorite thread? Aren't I neglecting it? Won't I be back tomorrow when I have time to do more than a drive-by post? Can anyone stand the suspense?
I really like and am amused by Rod3's avatar; does he know that?
Did Cinnesthesia admit to what she was writing?
Is it too late for me to chime in on this thread? Can you believe it's gone on all this time and I didn't see it? Is it possible I'm not as sharp as I used to be? You really won't hurt my feelings by anwering that question honestly will you?
Are your feelings easily hurt? Are you bipolar or is that a nice pun?
Do you think it possible that beneath this false show of bravado beats the heart of a frightened little boy? Where's my mommy?
Did I tell you, Clary, that I'm so pleased to see you and that I now feel that I know you after seeing your smiling face?
Did you all see BP? Are you excited and surprised that he has honored us with a visit?
Fealola, are you a silver tongued devil or what?
