I have gone in and checked profiles on my threads recently and find what appears to me to a blanket "Ignor User" under every avator on a2k, even folks I don't know.

Can anyone explain this. Seems odd. Is it some sort of glich?

@Sglass,
that's where you can set people on ignore if you so wish...

@Sglass,
Yes, I can explain.
No. It is not a glitch.

If you wish not to see someone's posts (eg if they are a persistent troll, only ever post nasty stuff, or for some other reason) you click on the Ignore User, and you will no longer see their posts or threads they produce.

Each thread, or post they make, then has, for you, a little "user ignored" and "view"...you can click on the "view" and see the posts/threads anyway.

Hadn't you heard of this feature before?

Oh and then I hit the ignor user it then read un-ignor user but when I went back into the threads I got the message I was ignoring people that I like very much.

What did I do?

@Sglass,
It is a toggle switch, when it reads "ignore user" you have to click it to make that happen. When it reads "Unignore user" you have to click it to unignore a person. All you need to do is go back to the profile where you clicked the Ignore User button and click the Unignore User button to restore viewing of their posts.

@Sglass,
Erm.....something amiss, I deduce with my great Bunny Brain.

If you have clicked un-ignore for those people you have placed on ignore mistakenly, I would try refreshing the threads, first.

If this des not work, go to YOUR profile...there you will have an Ignored users list. It is right at the bottom of your profile page, in the dark blue section.

Click on this.

There will be a list of those you currently have on ignore.

Click on unignore (egregiously awful verb, Robert!!!) for those you do not wish to ignore.

@dlowan,
What I wanna know is how Seaglass missed the Great Ignore War.

Some denounced the Ignore button as the beginning, some as the zenith, of the Great de Kere Fascist Dictatorship.

Others said it was the end of the World As We Know It, the Death of Decent Discourse, the beginning of the concentration camps for the disliked (or those, as they see it, who are the harbingers and warriors of truth and light).

It'll all happen again, you know, here...on this thread. They'll all be here declaiming again.

She has Built It and They Will Come.

@Region Philbis,
Nah...they strengthen each other....as double negatives do in Elizabethan/Jacobean English...and later I think.

You need a Wabbit.

You said you felt like a loose cannon, so I gave you one.

It seems an odd request, though.
