3. Our brains are hard wired to have emotions. The presence of emotions in the design of the brain is a result of the conditions under which we evolved. Computers would not have them unless specifically designed in, but they could be designed in. Since the brain produces emotions, and the brain is a computer, other computers could be constructed to have them too.
