I just found my old iPod Touch (circa 2010), charged it up and it still works great! It disappeared around 2014 and when I opened it up it was still mid-podcast from 2014. I traveled the world with that thing, it looks so small today.

Dlowan had the right idea years ago.
I’ve decided to put the iPhone in a faraday bag for emergency use, get a landline, an alarm clock, and a camera to replace the uses I’ve allowed myself to become accustomed to from this radiating surveillance machine that travels around with me like a beeping beacon for the dragoons—use the laptop for online.
Presented as a miraculous gift—actually, a chain around our necks.
