Trees looking down upon mortals;
While they cry out in pain and ssadness
They cry due to the pain we inflict upon them
They cry because their spirits are in pain;
To mask their pain they sing lovely songs;
If you listen you can hear their music;
They want one person to hear their song.
Hoping that the mortal that hear's their song would help them,
the songs they sing is acctually their cry for help,
So when you hear the trees, stop and ponder what they're saying
Very nice, Beowulf. Welcome to A2K!
Quite a few of us stoic trees yearn for someone to hear our song.
This is lovely. People laugh at me when I say that trees can feel pain. Enjoyed
i thank all the people who view this poem because it is my pride and joy because it is my first.
Trees do feel pain, perhaps not in the traditional sense, but on some level they do experience it. Kill one flower in the greenhouse and the survivors will slow in growing. Almost like an unspoken sympathy.

As to the poem, it's excellent work for being a first. I especially like the many faceted meaning to it if you look past the obvious. You've captured a small portion of what it feels like to be disenfranchised in mainstream society. Have you sent it off for publishing anywhere? It's the type of thing Oprah's O Magazine might be interested in.
