After a bad cluster of viruses, my computer is less than perfect. Viruses are gone. Unfortunately, my AVG is shot. I can't update. The following components are not active: Ant-virus, Anti-Spyware, email scanner, and resident shield (all the important bits).
I tried to uninstall and reinstall and made things worse. After getting error messages, I tried to manually uninstall and ended up with the above malfunctions. So, here is the error mesage. Can anyone here help me get AVG up and running again? Do I need an anti-virus program if I have malwarebytes anti-malware, Comodo firewall, and adaware running checks?
Here's the error message I get when trying to reload AVG:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion: creating registry key....
Error 0x80070005

@NickFun,
I tried something like that already. I was tired, though and may not have finished (I should not be allowed to operate on my computer!). Will try again, thanks Nick!
