Could a hyperactive hamster power your house? All the answers to the world's most pointless questions...

Quote:
Why does bottled water from a 3,000-year-old source - such as a spring, mountain or glacier - carry a 'best before' date only two years in the future?

In films, the hero often evades bullets by jumping into a river. How far below the surface would he need to dive?

Why are fizzy drinks more tasty than the same liquid once it has gone flat?

How do they get the smooth, round coating on Maltesers?

Could hamsters be the answer to the energy crisis? How many hamsters running on wheels would it take to provide enough power for a house?

How long would it take a coconut to float from the Caribbean to Scotland?

When wading into a cold sea, why does the water always seem coldest when it reaches the midriff?

How do toothpaste makers get the gel stripes in toothpaste?

Why do we get 'pins and needles'?

Do polar bears get lonely?

1. The date is for the glacier - with global warming the best future date we can expect for any glacier is 2010
2. No-one knows. The crocodile usually has eaten the bastard before the bad guys reload
3. Vodka is NOT a 'fizzy drink' - never will be. You may stop drinking it for breakfast. Your whole world view will change
4. Easy. Mars employs people to suck on the irregularly shaped confections till they are round, then spit them out into the packet
5. Two. But you need a truckload of hormones and speed
6. 6 months by water. Two weeks in a Goggomobil; G-O-GG-O -Goggomobil, nawt the Dart!
7. Midriff? Testicles, Craven, tes-TIC-les. Don't be ashamed, every boy has them and when you dip them in very cold water they occupy the space formally filled by your appendix
8. They don't. The active ingredient in toothpaste is Lysergic Acid. Pretty colours man, I talked to God in the bathroom yesterday man, he tells me to kill all the little piggies in LA...
9. To 'sew', and possibly create 'needlework'..
10. Not on A2K - check out the BP Bear 'live-to-web" cam
