On the MSNBC they're only showing one camera view, CSPAN has a split screen showing both candidates as they speak.

While Biden is speaking, these small smiles creep across Palin's face as if she's thinking to herself, "gotcha! That's one I was prepped for, thanks for mentioning it."

Ah ha, now we know why the early strategy of dissing Ifill. It's so when Palin is called out for not answering the questions she can say "Well you and the moderator may not like the way I answer your question but I'm answering to the American people."

Neither one of them are really directly answering the questions asked by Gwen. They're both spouting off a few words that sound like an answer and then using the remaining time to follow up on what the other said in previous answers.

So they aren't answering questions, they're defending against what the other said while not answering the question.

I don't know. That's the labels on the buttons we're supposed to use to express our answers to the questions.
