my computer will not let me restore system to an earlier date...i can go into restore click on the calander to the date i want it restored,but it will not high light the date day icon..can i fix this??

@montananimal,
You can't. If it won't let you select it that means there is no restore point saved for that date. You can't pick arbitrary dates and would need to select a restore point that exists (and still works, sometimes they won't work anymore).

If none work for you you are out of luck, and would need to fix your problem another way.

Not really - this time you will have to let the beast decide where it wants to wake up. Let your system suggest a restart point, let it load, then try another earlier date, mine has accepted this .
