@OGIONIK,
Are you applying to places and not getting called in for an interview? Are you getting interviews and not getting the job? With all those hotels in LV I would think there would be something - pool boy, night porter, delivery etc. Go to a temp agency that deals with manual labor and tell them you are willing to move heavy things. Call every landscaper in the phone book and tell them you can dig a hole.

@Green Witch,
Go to the college that accepted you and look at the student employment bulletin board, assuming there is one. Or see if they have a student employment office in the administration area. (I got a job from a bulletin board like that years after I had been at the school; it developed into a great job, uh, more or less.)

I was taking one or two classes at the uni extension at the time and had decided to change fields. The people who hired me didn't care if I was at the university, just that I could do the work. And you are accepted as a student.

Most colleges, if not all of them, have employment offices. Also, the state's unemployment office has jobs offers posted on boards. Your next best bet is a temp office, but be ready to sacrifice on the pay vs not working.

i know u have heard the saying, its not what u know, its who u know.

im not hispanic, that literally cuts my jobs prospects. no drivers license, that cuts them even further.

@OGIONIK,
Remind me why you don't have a driver's license. If you are willing to work as hard as latinos for latino wages you might be able to beat them out, but the driving thing is a big problem.

@OGIONIK,
Don't you have any friends who can lend you one for a few hours? Someone in your extended family? Can you actually drive?

@OGIONIK,
Onion, the driving thing needs attention immediately, no excuses.

After that...

Are you good with your hands? (hand tools, drill, level...)

Vegas has lots of work for guys who set up and tear down things. Show sets, office furniture, convention displays.

Lets's look into some of those if you like, and I may be able to grease a wheel. (or not)

@OGIONIK,
So, your problem isn't not having a car but not having a license? And your plan is to buy a car and then get your license? Not sure you can purchase a vehicle without a license.
I wouldn't let you use my brand new car either. Get real. That is so gay.

welfare groups may sometimes help. Salvation Army.
Are there state/federal employment programs?

Have you asked a commercial driver ed outfit how much it would cost to use one of their cars?

You can buy a car anytime anywhere, but usually (it varies a bit State to State) you can not tag it without a valid license, AND insurance...

DMV will check both before you can test.

@dadpad,
Bingo. You can usually go to a driver's ed company and just have 1 "lesson", which is the trip for your road test.
