902,564 with my first name.
1,033,680 with my last name.
3,060 with my full name.

I did my wife too.
Fewer than 1,525 with her first name.
Fewer than 335 with her last name.
1 or fewer people with her whole name.

Heh.... there were 34 of me before I got married! OMG!

Now I am completely unique.

Being a numbers person I have to question the results though...it says it comes from census information, wouldn't that have last been done in 2000?

@djjd62,
Ah...thank you. I looked for it but wasn't able to spot it. So it is quite outdated and would not reflect anyone born before or married before 1990.

@Phoenix32890,
Apparently, less than 1525 have my first name. Less than 335 have my last name.

I'll tell you a quick funny story. In my early days of meter reading, I was reading in an apartment building and was shocked to see that three (3!) were in that building alone! Laughing

On that day, my illusion of uniqueness was shot!

@Phoenix32890,
Take a look at this:
Quote:
The data we have comes from the U.S. Census Bureau's 1990 census.

The population has increased by over %20 since then, which means that approximately a fifth more people have your name now.

I'm not buying it. It says there are only three people with my first and last name, while I know there is one that lives less than twenty miles from me. Am I to believe that in all the rest of the states there is only one other?

Anyone know anyone called Potato?

What about sock draw?

Whats really amazing is that exactly the same number of people are called Potato as sock draw.

The really astounding thing is that UnevenFloor has the same figure...

I get the feeling this website is lying... Smile

@AbbieMcKenley,
According to my name ...
Quote:
There are 52 people in the U.S. named Stephen Atwood.

I'm more intrigued with this fun fact:
Quote:
99.63 percent of people with the first name Stephen are male.

Does this .37 percent account for statistical/accounting error? Out of this nanopopulation of Stephens, how many are actually born females and how many are transgendered? How many have gone through sex changes?

That's true, I didn't notice the "fewer" part. Smile

Real name or nickname? Even so, potato would be worse.

My mum told me about a lady she knew who named her daughter Fay-Leah because she wanted a boy.

There are 457,806 with my first name, didn't check the variations.
114 with my maiden name in the US, 12 in Canada.
11,470 with my married name
17 with my first and married name
None with my first and maiden name.
I'm unique in the world, although, when I google my maiden name there was a dame who lived in the 12th century with my maiden name, although none anywhere with the combined maiden and married names.

@saab,
36 in the US and I'd be willing to bet that at least half of them are related to me, as my father has seven brothers, and I was named after my great-grandmother and I kept my maiden name.
