In a large shopping mall, Gaston took the escalator and pressed it down 24 steps before reaching the lower deck. At that time, he realizes he forgot his cap at the top. Without taking time to reflect, he immediately resumed the escalator but contraflow. To arrive at the top, it must climb 96 steps. As it is stressed, fear not find his hat, climbed much faster and it puts the same time to go back to that one he made to go down.

I do not know what you are asking, but I will give it a shot...He was on the 4th floor, went down to the 2nd...The went up to the 10th...
Answer either 120 steps....Or 24+24+72=120...
That is my guess...
