Just read "Harry Potter" for the first time, was thinking of her throughout. I was dismissive of HP for a while, she brought me around. And reading it I could certainly see why she liked it.

Nope, just the first one so far. Definitely want to read all of them now though. (Reading them with sozlet. At the same time as, not to.)

I read the first 3 1/2 books. Loved the series, but did not want to invest the time to finish them all. I wish these books had been available to me as a kid.

@Izzie,
Thank you for popping the thread back up. At least half the time (maybe more) I think of Noddy when I'm on here.

@Roberta,
And that brings back memories that Penny joined us during that week as well, like here in the restaurant, you'd chosen, Roberta ...

@jespah,
10 years on... and remembering Noddy always...

Never forgotten, she would be proud of us all who are holding our dominion.

Whenever we see the moon, our thoughts are for the wonderful and incredible lady that was Noddy. So missed xx

@Izzie,
Thank you so much for reviving this topic. I went in and fixed any link I could in the opening post. Don't know what happened to that photo, though.

I'm FB friends with D__ and L___. <3 I think Jill would have liked that.

@Izzie,
Every time I do my hair a very particular way I am reminded of Miss J. She was fun to adventurate with in NYC.

D is very much her boy. Sometimes he posts things on FB and I think J would have cracked up at that.

Her first marriage ended in divorce.

part of her life during that first marriage was lived in Manhattan.

During one of our adventures, we took the Staten Island Ferry with our friend the Empress Eugenie. J told us that her first husband didn't allow her to do any tourist things while they lived in New York. He didn't like that it would make them seem like hicks.

Well, damn, we hicked it right up on a couple of those trips. We did touristy things and J revelled in them. It was a joy to share those times with her.

One of the best New York trip moments happened at Lola and Bernie's apartment during a truly wonderful get-together.

A few arrangements were made ahead of time, I brought my phone card and made a call from the bedroom. Brought the phone out and handed it to J.

Still remember her and her being so welcoming when I arrived at this site. She was a treasure and big part of this place.
