Did I mention this, yes I know I did but it's a fond memory so I'll mention it again, when I was doing a little driving tour of the eastern States, Noddy asked me to swing by the Poconos so I was pleaed to do that, and we had a brunch together in a diner in her home town.
I enjoyed meeting her, a nice lady who was equally thoughtful and charming in person as she was in her writing.

Noddy, you have by no means been forgotten here.
You are sorely missed.
Thank you for the many times you suggested I "hold my dominion" (& miraculously, with your prompting, I actually did!) ... thank you for your clear, concise, down-to-earth advice & support of everyone who here who needed it.
You are irreplaceable.

I just had a whole load of ack musings going on in my head... so I thought, I'll put a search in and see what comes up...
Whose posts should appear to impart the words of wisdom to a similar being who has self doubts?... Noddy's... talking and saying just the things I needed to sort out in my head
gosh, I miss her so much so glad her 'words' are still here on subjects I never even talked to her about... she just made me feel a little better.

You won't believe who I saw last night!!!
It was Son of Noddy.
Actually, I was sorta wondering if I'd run into him at some point, as I've been going to a slew of techie events and he is also an Eastern Mass. techie type person.
So we fell to talking.
He's fine, doing well and doing IT work for a small non-profit. He's running and will be running a marathon in New Jersey on May 5th. Hmm maybe I misheard the date as that's not a weekend. But anyway it'll be his first marathon, he ran a half last year so he's revved up for this one, and is definitely looking slimmer than when I last saw him a few years ago.
Mr. Noddy is doing all right and still living on his own. Son of Noddy's stepbrother is nearby in case there are problems. Mr. N even had a run-in when speeding but was able to talk himself out of a ticket. The old man's still kinda fiesty.
Iffy the dog passed on, though, so I suppose she's barking and running after Noddy now.
And baying at the moon, of course.
I'll be back to some more of these events, and will probably see him again at some point.
Great news, jes! Thanks for the update. I was thinking about Mr Noddy the other day and wondering how he was faring. Glad to hear that Son of Noddy is doing well and that D is still able to be on his own.

Spring is here. Noddy is never far from my thoughts.
I can almost hear her when I start to struggle - like today - I miss her terribly. The crocuses have gone now outside the door - that was all too quick - they were there but a moment. Time moves so quickly - it's hard to keep up.
Thinking of Son of Noddy and Mr Noddy too.

So anyway...
have been thinking about you all day ... ya know...
Decided to click – a faraway friend of ours gets that, couldn’t get the music to work, it was Stand By Me by Shayne Ward
Nothing's impossible
Nothing's unreachable
When I am weary
You make me stronger
lalaaaaaaaaaaaaaalallaa
didnee have a sunflower, got some big daisies tho
Tulip’s OK... ish – the full moon was on her birthday. We’re pretty tight knit these days. Strange how these things happen - Lion King and The Circle of Life this weekend.
When in the springtime of the year
When the trees are crowned with leaves
When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew
Are dressed in ribbons fair.
When owls call the breathless moon
in the blue veil of the night
When shadows of the trees appear
amidst the lantern('s) light.
We've been rambling all the night
and sometime of this day
Now returning back again
we bring a garland gay.
Who will go down to those shady groves
and summon the shadows there
And tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms
in the springtime of the year.
The sounds of birds seem to fill the wood
and when the fiddler plays
All their voices can be heard
long past their woodland days.
We've been rambling all the night
and sometime of this day
Now returning back again
we bring a garland gay.
And so they linked their hands and danced
'round in circles and in rows
And so the journey of the night descends
when all the shades are gone.
A garland gay we bring you here
And at your door we stand
Here's a sprout, well budded out
The work of our Lord's hand.
We've been rambling all the night
and sometime of this day
Now returning back again
we bring a garland gay.
Hoping (((Son of Noddy, Doglady13 and Mr Noddy))) are all doing k.
Remembering your words, holding my dominion!
When all else fails...
that woulda made you chortle!
miss ya, Noddy, heaps. x

Definitely hope with tea. Thanks for reviving the topic.
Hard to believe it has been two years since she left.

I thought of Noddy, last Sunday almost-evening, when I was being driven home by a friend ... I looked up in the sky & saw that very full moon.
Hello there, Noddy!

Noddy was the one who called me. I was a low money type person re phone calls. We talked well but with complications, I had trouble hearing.. Noddy and I were different people. We loved each other.
On missing her, she is still here.

Home... saw Black Tulip today up country.
Thought of you as I was driving back - you'da loved the tealight candle I found in a 'little shoppe'...
Have lit the candle for you, put some spiced earth oil in the top so there will be a lovely 'whiff' aboot the hoose.
