I am supposed to be creating a website for a little professional grouip I am involved in.

I have found a reasonable (I think) phpbb type host...and begun the forum.

But...(I feel so stupid)....while I can create new topics in the testing forum, I have not been able to figure out how to create new forums!!!

I was able to do this perfectly easily in another site I created..but I am stuck here.

Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

Can anyone help?

Here is the site-ette.

Since I know less than you, why don't you post the question in Web Development & Design? Who knows who might drop in.

Damn.

Forgot that existed.

Mind you, web development and design in any true sense of the words this isn't!

I could do it for you, but I'd have a tough time trying to explain it without refreshing my memory with a glance at the tools again. It's been at least 8 years or more since I last administered a php BBS.

I'll look around and see if I can find a basic admin tutorial for you and post a link here if I find one that will work for you.

I've MESSED!!!

Thing is I did it easily on my other site...but that host deletes stuff.

I am wondering if the "migration" this site talks about, that is possible only after 500 posts, is what allows the vcreation of non test forums?

I have emailed them to ask for help, a number of times, with no reply.

Sigh.

Maybe I just need another host.

I want the format (similar to here) to be the same.

@dlowan,

If your server comes with Cpanel. Chances are that it comes with Fantastico. Fantastico makes script installation easy and fun. phpbb and SMF are available under Fantastico.

Good luck.
