Hey, I am using Windows Vista and I accidentally deleted everything in my start menu. I am working on putting everything back in there, but I can't find the applications that were in the Accesories folder. Does anyone know where I can find them to make the shortcuts again?
I'm looking for things like Paint, Snipping Tool, Character Map, Etc.
Not familiar with Vista, but have you tried a search on the programs? This should lead you to their location. Also, what about restore?
I've tried searching for a few different programs I can remember being in the accesories folder, but the only results have been in the start menu directory in the windows folder on the hard drive, which is unhelpful. I am not very keen on restoring because I'm reorganizing a lot of things on my computer right now and don't want the changes lost.
I would suggest that you check for the programs in the c:\windows\system32 folder
Create a new windows user and copy their shortcuts.
