So I bought what appeared to be the uber cool "Rock Band" game for Wii and we can't even get the damn thing started.
We've looked at the web site and tried to call the service number but we can't find anything and nobody answers and nothing seems to help.
It just reverts back to the Wii menu screen and we can't even get it to enter the game.
$170.00 later and all Mo has to say is "This sucks."
I could use some help if anyone has this game and can give me some tips on getting the thing going.
Many, many, thanks!
Don't have the game, have never seen it before, but I just checked their barebones tech support on their website and the only thing I could find that might be help related to your problem is item 6 on this page about calibrating the game, game console and TV.
If that's not it, you might check deeper by going to their community forums page and see if there's any help there.

Thanks Butrflynet! I'll dig a little deeper into their site and see if I can't come up with something.
1 - You do have to calibrate the guitar.
2- Try doing everything to set up with the remote
3- The guitars have been known to be pieces of crap that break at the first hint of usage.
We have the PS3 version of the game but I'd imagine it's much the same.
I can't even get as far as worrying about calibrating the guitar or drums because I can't get the disc to start!
YEAH! I got it started!
Mo is having a blast with the drums. Fun!
Happy endings!
At least, happy first act endings!
I want a Wii Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww!
Ha! This thing is addictive.
You should like totally hear me rock out on the drum solo in "Paranoid". I got the top score, baby. Okay, okay, I had it set to "easy" but still. Yeah me!
This game takes an amazing amount of hand/eye coordination. I think it could actually help Mo with his real drum playing. I think I'll have to move the Wii to the <ahem> music room (aka: basement) and try playing real drums..... I mean let Mo play his real drums.... along with the tracks.
It really isn't so sucky once you get past the idiot stage of hooking the thing up.
C'mon over Gargamel and we'll totally jam and get high and stuff.
Wiis rock. Can I come over too?
Yeah baby, you can be our vocalist!
I've liked the Wii so far. I haven't been playing games in nearly 10 years and I'm enjoying the back to the basics Wii.
I was thinking about getting Guitar Hero, it's not my style of game but if the music selection is good I imagine it being fun. Now you led me to Rock Band and it sounds more interesting.
What kind of tunes do they have (I'd be most interested in 90's rock)?
This is the list for other consoles -- the Wii game just came out very recently -- but it looks like the same list at first glance.
It's kind of all over the map -- the Ramones, Foo Fighters, Beastie Boys, Faith No More -- no certain style.
I think they have downloadable songs too.
I goes beyond guitar hero in that it comes with a microphone for vocals, a guitar and drums, I think you can add another guitar but have it count as a bass.
It's pretty fun.
