Yes indeed, in fact, I live in Annapolis and pay taxes to Anne Arundel County. Our son live in Queen Anne's County. My Dad grew up in Baltimore in a row house directly across the street from Carroll Park. Carroll was one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence. We have a ton of locations named after British royals.
PS since Annapolis is the Capital of Maryland, it's considered a city. Although I'm 10 minutes from the Naval Academy, and have an Annapolis adress, the part I live in is not down town Annapolis, so I don't have to pay city taxes, just County, State, Federal and all the other fees local gov cooks up. My post office is in Annapolis, and if it was remotely safe I could easily walk to the city line.
