Tommy Kono He was a olympic weight lifting champion. We lived on the same block at Tule Lake Concentration Camp during WWII, and I used to watch him practice in the communal iron room. He lived in Hawaii for awhile after we left camp, although we both lived in Sacramento before the war. When I called him in Hawaii, he didn't even want to meet with me; he turned into a snob.
