John Austen Hamlin and his brother Lysander Butler Hamlin - town to town distributors of Hamlin's Wizard Oil via travelling show. Sold under the motto: "There is no Sore it will Not Heal, No Pain it will not Subdue." Especially recommended for pneumonia, cancer, diphtheria, earache, toothache, headache and hydrophobia. A snag was encountered when their company was fined $200 in 1906 for advertising that it would "check the growth and permanently kill cancer."
List of ingredients: 50%-70% alcohol containing camphor, ammonia, chloroform, sassafras, cloves, and turpentine.
Recommended for both internal and external use.
