Chester A. Riley -
The Life of Riley was an American radio situation comedy series of the 1940s that was adapted into a 1949 feature film, a long-running 1950s television series (originally with Jackie Gleason as Riley for one truncated season, then with Bendix for six seasons), and a 1958 comic book. William Bendix played the title role.

Me too ci. It brings back memories of the neighborhood where we lived, Wingfield RD in Memphis, TN. Lived there for about 1 1/2 years. It is where I went to 1st grade.

@BillW,
Our connection to Memphis is when my wife and I did the American Cruise Line cruise on the Mississippi to New Orleans last year. Really enjoyed Beale Street which was one block from our hotel, the Memphis Westin. We even purchased t-shirts there. We really enjoyed Memphis, and after passing St Jude's Children's Hospital on a bus tour, I sent them a small donation.
