Has anyone had any experience with the Overture dot com advertising? (Another pay per click program)

I recently had an interaction with them. I am very impressed by the services. When I first started thinking about putting money their, I was somewhat skeptical. Has anyone else advertised with them before? If so, what happened? Also, has anyone thought about advertising with them? How come you did/didn't?

Im thinking about comparing their results to google when I sigtn up with them, too. Withing 4 days of advertising, I received over 50 clicks, and 4 people who want services. Spent $50 though. However, the had top positions in many coomon key words like web site design, web design and hosting.

Well it all depends on the keywords you are targeting. I spent a couple 50 dollar promotions they threw at me. My take is that they don't come close to AdWord's quality. Not even close.

but they have their purpose. In fact I use all kinds of advertising. I prefer PPC ads with ONLY Search Traffic but since AdSense came out some regular PPC ads have done amazingly well. But I also but cheap banner impressions and just about every other kind of traffic you can imagine. I do it for testing purposes and I recommend that people stick witha good PPC like AdWords.

I dislike Overture, but since most other webmasters do as well you can sometimes get better prices on high demand words like hosting and web design.

I have heard many good things about AdSense. I am yet to try it though. I just had a free $50 credit for Overture.com. Most likely on my next sale I will put down $50 on AdSense and see what happens.

AdWords, AdSense is the other end.

You don't need to pay anything upfront with AdWords, you can do a trial run of one dollar if you want.
