The info bar on my computer says:

'Your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly. Click here for options.'

The only option I get is 'More info". It is not helpful at all.

My security settings are set at medium. What should I be checking?

I'm not a computer geek at all. The instructions I've been looking at are incomprehensible and don't seem applicable to my computer.

I have satellite computer now (yeah! no more dialup!) and would like to be able to see videos, etc online, but I can't. Sad

Any computer geeks out there who can help? Thank you~

Damn computers
Ok, so I downloaded firefox. The setup wizard page didn't pop up so I couldn't do the next few steps. I tried twice, same thing.

I've used the Great Wizard before with no problem. Whazup?

The loud noise you hear is my computer being hurled out of the window.

Install it. Run it. Use it. Love it.

It will solve the problem, I promise. (Well, at least I think it will.)

It's a different browser. I haven't willingly used Internet Explorer for 3-4 years now.

I dunno. Keep trying?

I'm not a computer geek ... I just play one on A2K.

Hey, Ticomaya, you're a genius!

It worked like a charm. I have no idea why it worked without the Wizard but it does.

Thanks! I figured someone on A2K would know.........

I am sorry if I am butting in. I don't know what I am doing.
I have never been on one of these sites before so hopefully I am where I need to be. I have a computer at home BUT I do NOT have the internet. I have the game Sims2 and that is all I have on my computer at home. I bought it from my neice about a little over a year ago. About 4 1/2 months ago I started getting FAT32 errors. I fought with it about amonth then shut it down until about a week ago.
I can't play. I start up and try going in but about the time I try to load up a town the computer shuts itself off and I try again with not much more luck. I thought I would uninstall everything (I wanted to cry) then went out (like a fool) and rebought All the Sims2 games and only reinstalled one and I still have the same problems. Do I have to buy a new computer or do you think it is fixable? PLEASE HELP I LOVE PLAYING SIMS2
