Hi Void, that sounds like a gauntlet hitting the floor!
I hope you like doggerel.
Allegro Non Troppo
Said it best for me.
Amoeba to apartment block,
From slime to tow'ring tree.
And all the rush to organise
That Mother Nature does
Is echoed in my morning haste,
In traffic's ceaseless buzz.
A coffee downed to speed me up,
A pill to slow me down.
Why am I here when I am due
The other side of town?
But under all the rush and rant
That modern living brings
Still lies the human animal
In touch with deeper things.
The touch of friends and family,
The newborn baby's gaze,
The ring that's formed by moonlight
As it ventures through the haze.
In micro and in macro forms,
Biology is rife.
It falls under that category
That's simply labelled life.
