Hi Smile Just a few questions about LCD monitors...

A family member recently upgraded and passed her old LCD monitor down to me! Very Happy There's a good coating of nicotine on the screen though. Would rubbing alchohol cause any damage or permanent "clouding"? If this is not an option what would you recommend?

I have a small fluorescent light (only 6" long) that I'd like to mount to the bottom of this monitor to cast light on my keyboard. (Simple to mount with 2-sided tape.) Would this hurt anything?

Thx!

I just researched this for myself!

Equal parts white vinegar and distilled water.
Use a very soft, lintless cloth - like the one you might clean your glasses.

Turn the monitor off.

Spray the solution onto the cloth - not onto the screen.
Wipe gently - barely press on the screen.

Let the monitor completely dry before turning it back on.

Done!
