Here's my problem my desktopwill no longer power up. Last time it did i was able to log in then it shutdown, no warning at all. I recently replaced the power source from 350w to 380w, same brand. I've checked the motherboard and power source for damage, there is none. RAM is relatively new 4 m/o. Please help me find a solution. I built this machine myself, being ignorant as I am. It has lasted me five good years with only 2 other required replacements: motherboard 2 yrs ago; power source 1 mo ago. I appreciate any help which may be given.

If we can get some more specific information, it'll be eaiser to help Very Happy.

First, define "won't power up". Does it not power on at all or does it start up for a short period and hang? Does it POST?

The first thing I usually recommend is switching out ram, if you have some lying around.

Actually, reseating all of your cables would be a good place to start. In replacing the power supply, you would have had to disconnect the power switch. That would be a good place to start.
