The large local technical institution just offered me a position teaching Electrical, and I accepted!
Oh, no. Why did you not consult me first? Now you will have to learn some of that electrical stuff or look like an idiot. Damn, boy. Feed ya crayolas and you want to draw with them.
Funny man! I just got back to work with the shipyards after being sick with the flu, I'll have to stop playing with toy boats now and see how many crayons it takes to jamb up a 3 phase panel.
Is it true:
them that can't do, teach???
Or is that a good thing?
Congratulations, Chumly!
(Er...on the teaching position, not the crayon in your brain.)
Oh man, thats friggen cool. Your going to be good, I can tell.
Thanks man........30 years as an Electrician and now I get to explain what the hell I did in all that time!
Also they want me to take a number of professional development courses to improve my overall teaching credentials, they will pay for it all too.
Son is considering an electrical apprenticeship.
He's currently in his last year of school but working 1 day a week in a school based certificate course for a general contracting (maintenance) company.
congrats Chumly!
R(they'll prolly need to know Ohm's Law)P
CONGRATS !
will you be teaching your students about those crazy german contraptions we've been posting
?
do you need any more ?
all the best !
hbg
btw i did some part-time teaching after i retired and enjoyed it very much .
On an Electrician's truck license plate frame: "We would be delighted if you send in your bill. However, if you don't, you will be."
Congratulations Chumly - good for you
