I have been thinking girls that bumping is the polite thing to do when one has posted on the word-game threads and the page gets stuck. Just as it is polite to avoid XY&Z when possible on this thread. On all the other threads it doesn't really matter as it's nearly all more or less worthless whereas word-games are for a special little exclusive elite. Especially Acronyms where one might risk showing oneself up.

With word games the players are agog to know the word and one should open the door for them and not require that they do it themselves.

The reason that XY&Z should be avoided is that they inhibit creativity because the dictionary pages covering them is very short and flexibility is sacrificed. Now and again is grudgingly permissible as an exercise in aggravation.

There are 9 pages of XY&Z in my Collins out of 1205 pages so 9 uses of XY&Z in 1205 posts seems fair enough.
